I have been drawn to lines for a long time.
Before I began making art I studied Chemistry and Biochemistry and worked for several years in research Biochemistry labs.
I began my art experiments by making jewelry. First I used wire and then in many pieces I either wrapped metal with wire or attached wire between metal pieces. Both methods created parallel lines.
When I moved back to NYC and making jewelry became impractical, I started to make collages. This past year I have combined collage with drawing straight and curved lines.
I think my drawn lines refer back to the logical and coherent world of science which I was drawn to early on.
