STATEMENT Magnus Irvin
I consider myself to be a traditional British artist. My work reflects an interest in institutions such as the seaside, music halls, pub culture, street furniture, ectoplasm and lunatics.
I work in a wide variety of media including film, printmaking, cardboard sculpture, cakes and drawings. When I exhibit I like to include all of these media in the same show. Drawing provides the centre point for all of my artistic work.
I like bananas, rubber gloves, fishing, cake, football and Kirk Douglas.
