Birthmarks, a star map on our body 2005 consists of eight square drawings. On these drawings, Klumpp reduced and drew the pattern of her birthmarks on various parts of her body. She then compared them with a star chart and sketched in the constellations that fit into her drawings.
The work „Chiromantie" explores palm reading. In the video the lines in Klumpp’s hands are being slowly transformed to result in the perfect preconditions for her to lead to a successful life. The installation includes a drawing and a text - both explaining the steps of the transformation and their meaning.
Shado in the light 2008 | is a light box operated by a defective contact. The light is flickering. When turned of you only see the photo, but when the light is turned on you see shadows complementing the photo for a glimpse before it turs of again
Artist stamtment | My work contains references to contemporary and future society and I develop theories which I present to the viewer. My aim is to bring together absurdity and the credibility of the theory, playing with fascination, revulsion and curiosity.
