Artist Statement

My drawn works of architectural spaces propose problems to solve, challenges to overcome and realities to adapt to. The images depict endless corridors, pitfalls, exits into unknown places, and dead ends presented as a series of film still-like sequences that lead the viewer into a narrative journey; the details of which are never fully disclosed.

To create these works I use traditional printmaking techniques to realize conceptual worlds that are built in a 3D modeling program. The translation from the virtual screen to a drawing on paper or the wall further underscores the ambiguity of space and image and the visual tension between old and new technology.
