Artist Statement

I´m always dealing with issues intimately related to human existence. My work is based on drawing as an artistic position; I investigate complex concepts using simple, basic, gestural, and direct language, getting  close to the viewer through the characters, space and situations he depicts on paper, mixing imagination with reality.

I try to imprint on my drawings and Cartoons the results of my research regarding sensory perception – I Draw during sleppless nights - upon which most of my Work is based. The figures drawn tend to be anthropomorphic figures, explicity sexual ambiguous- since they have both masculine and feminine traits-,and primary in form. His characters come alive via various subtle manipulations of movement and, in short, differents status of mind. Accordingly, the drawings activate interpersonal relations –the “you” and “me” as catalysts of action –in an intuitive journey to the sensory World.
