Telltale and Reception explore an expanded drawing and painting practice. I apply various everyday materials to an lcd screen featuring films, internet imagery, and surveillance footage. I'm interested in the interaction of these material and digital surfaces and the persistent relevance of human touch in constructing pictorial space. Teasing out tensions between documentary and constructed photography, the hybrid images that result struggle to make a viewer visible on the very surface of the spectacle being viewed.
