Artist Statement
The work is of remnants to a former grandeur, of an era directly posited in a kind of transience that marked the end of one thing and the beginning of another, whence, in this case, flora provided an architectural, metaphorical device to suggest an impossible wealth, as if the city, the structures and places and things in it were of an absolute abundance that bloomed in its rejoice and same ornament and which seems now stuck, abandoned in its participation of a once unwilled, ghostly and self-amnesiac labor of renewing the world on. they are about days and days of walking, about time and its surface, its face, about the muffled union of the constant with the temporal, a retreat into the heart and gut for good. they are sleeping with the light on   a remembering that goes on everywhere and in people like a library off, guarded by the many headed dog of your lonesome to the exact place, the shore where your knowledge of things stops and lifts out.
