This work is an ongoing collaborative series created by a father daughter team, Sam and Kay Tuttle. These drawings start of by Kay giving her father blank paper, and he draws whatever he would like, using whatever medium he chooses. Kay then gets the drawings, in various stages of completion, and works on top of them. Sam generally draws very masculine imagery, airplanes, tanks and cars. Kay tends to draw stereotypically female imagery, such as flowers or patterns. Sam generally draws out of his head , while Kay draws from life or reference materials. Thematically the drawings often develop into nature versus machine. The interest lies in trying to make these disparate visual images work together.
