Artist Statement
If the Walls Could Talk features a model rendered from memory of the neighborhood where I grew up in Buffalo, New York. The installation combines sculpture and drawing to model the houses, lawns, streets and inhabitants of my childhood home. As well as rebuilding the neighborhood in miniature, stories of some of the neighbors are recounted in a series of animated vignettes.

The floor maps are of the 22 residences I have occupied during my life. Each map details the floor plan, furniture, and personal objects of my former residences. These pieces chronicle life’s events through recollections of the spaces I have called home.
