Artist Statement
I am interested in objects and situations that are not clearly, but pick up complex associations and mental leaps. They open up moments where something unusual, something unknown takes place. What is important is the relationship between an object and its environment, a volatile appearing of meaning, that is assured by nothing than the current situation. The varied range of approaches, that the viewer can play through, can show him the enormous creativity of his cognitive design ability.

In my pictures appear figures, that stand representative for the acting subject. I combine the acting figure with words, which represent thinking. In showing the words in image forms I let the image gain sovereignty over thinking. The written word remains as readable, but at the same time they are an image. Like this reading and viewing become one. They are both adress cerebral hemispheres and logical and intuitive thinking is connected to a simultaneous process of perception.
The text in the images shows how the boundaries between image and text more and more blurred. With this blurring of borders a modified concept of visual perception goes along.

I hope to get to the border between what you can say and what you can´t say, what you can think and what you can´t think. This place is the limit of the language and is just there where her creative potential is. If this innovative potential is integrated in our everyday use of language, in our daily actions, a new description of reality succeed.
