Artist Statement

My visual research explores the creation of variable patterns and organizational systems derived from primary forms such as lines, triangles and grids.

Both Patterns and system are highly pliable and are developed directly from objects and architectural fragments partly found in my studio. This fluency allows for the creation of a new visual space that is not fixed but has the capacity to manifest and regenerate itself in different ways. Series as progressions, patterns as variable systems, discrepancy between order and subjectivity are some of the means that I use to create and transform a two dimensional unit.

The image is latent with collapse as I introduce irregularity into patterns and systems that shift continually our perception, revealing order and chaos, repetition and fragmentation.
