Artist Statement

I seek to capture the dynamic nature of understanding through portraying pre-integrated impressions, thoughts, calculations, and recalled knowledge. By underscoring this assembled nature of experience I strive to affirm the physical, messy nature of thinking.

Artist Bio / CV

My questions about understanding and perception were sparked in the dance studio when I was confronted with two gestures that looked similar but felt radically different. The opposing sensations both contradicted and complimented each other. Traces of these early observations may be found throughout my work.
