Artist Statement

Drawing is a form of introspection--a means of acknowledging, assessing and advancing the mind.

The Apologies mark an exercise in moving the mind from a long-established set into a new one.

The Exile Series circumambulates an island landscape where I have been marooned. Reflections of Iinfinity wrestle with a sense of confinement.

I have worked in the medium of colored pencil for thirty years, attempting to chart new territory both technically and in the realm of self-awareness.
