My project, BLUE consists of series of drawings and site-specific installations about water. I’m exploring the internal/external world with water running through. Over the decades of abusing and over-consuming, our water has been drained and contaminated. In my work, water is nurturing but also poisoning our bodies and environments at the same time. In “Blue,” the water is contaminated with debris, organs, cells, bottles, antiquated machinery, and more. Water is seen as both healing energy and damaged natural resource that has been exploited and contaminated. Psychologically complex with meticulous details, my drawings embody beauty and disturbing/unsettling quality.
