Unfinished Journey (a total of 248 pieces)
I have been sketching the city since December of 2007. With a pencil, I try to depict New York City in all its glory and antiquity. Even the street corners, filled with boundless energy, inspire a story. From classical to modern buildings, I like to record every detail steeped in historical significance. I don't know how much I can accomplish, but I do know it is an endless endeavor.
My journey in the city begins with the first mark or stroke on paper. It is the story of my hand and a piece of paper, an encounter between sight and texture. It is a journey made by Eye and Spirit along the path of Discoveries. The "protagonist" in my story is not just a building or an object; it is a metaphor for time and space, history and perception. With humility I try to decipher the historical and cultural background and create a more personal expression. I hope to connect to the viewers in this way so that they may have a deep experience of art.
An unfinished journey, awaiting fresh discoveries, can be the beginning of something new.
