Artist Statement

The Miami drawings were painted in a hotel room while stranded in South Beach during hurricane Sandy. They were executed with materials from CVS and Ace Hardware.

The figures present intimacy, longing, loneliness, and separation, all relationships I observe on the beach, and of course in my own life.
