Artist Statement

Through abstract painting, I examine and locate a psychological space where non-objectivity imagines the departure of the physiological spirit.  Personal beliefs regarding spiritual awe, devotion, transcendence and ethereal afterlife are the core of my creative practice and research.

My paintings explore the idea of, or belief in, transcension, that state where the electrical energy or residue of a body leaves the host container and flees elsewhere, what is commonly referred to as ghosts or spirits.  The afterlife and its related paranormal phenomena is the particular conceptual framework of my art.
