The work of Marilu Swett mixes biological and industrial form to create unknown forms that are oddly familiar.Swett intends her work to be interpreted in more than one direction, and it has been called by critics "pleasingly ambiguous", "endearingly awkward", "mysteriously capricious", and possessing "a chilling hybrid quality". Her drawings show overlapping layers of boldly drawn forms, which redefine one another and hint at an abstract narrative.
