Artist Statement

My work centers on what is cool to me and is punctuated by the music I listen to, the movies I watch, and the environment in which I live.  I draw excitement about my work from the strategically placed objects and tools in the backgrounds of stage and film-set-designs.

The objects and tools in our lives and in my drawings, whether decorative or utilitarian, help shape our worldview.  When observing the objects and tools in my drawings, whether in odd groupings or standing alone, the viewer participates in a choose-your-own-path scenario. Each drawing is like a crime scene where the viewer is to piece together what might have happened.
