The gateway of the mysterious female
Is called the root of heaven and earth.
Dimly visible, it seems as if it were there,
Yet use will never drain it.
The artist Trisha Donnelly (b. 1974) has been making drawings for the past twenty-five years. She was born in San Francisco and lives and works in New York, San Francisco, and Düsseldorf. This exhibition is the first to concentrate solely on her works on paper.1
