Join members of The Rafael Tufiño Printmaking Workshop at Taller Boricua, East Harlem for a conversation in our exhibitions that uses as a point of departure the importance of drawing as related to printmaking, mark making, and the work that is generated by the artists at Rafael Tufino. DRAWNOW! will focus on a…is alter(ed): Open Sessions 12
The October 20 workshop will explore the work in For Opacity: Elijah Burgher, Toyin Ojih Odutola and Nathaniel Mary Quinn. We will analyze the work of three contemporary artists who explore diverse identities through portraiture in a range of distinct stylistic approaches and personal backgrounds connected by the way they each use drawing to investigate subjecthood as well as its resistence to depiction.
